HWID reset vs HWID spoofer: are they actually the same thing?

Closed thread Closed by archiveI've seen "HWID reset" and "HWID spoofer" used like they mean the same thing, but that sounds misleading. The The Isle product FAQ says a license can be moved to a new PC with an HWID reset through the portal or support. The separate spoofer page markets a tool for changing hardware identifiers and bypassing hardware bans.
Those are different use cases, right? If someone has a server or game ban, I'd assume they should appeal it with the server admin or game support instead of treating a spoofer as a guaranteed fix.

Also "the product page says it can" isn't a promise that a game or server will let you back in. I wouldn't take that risk lightly.
If the ban is a mistake, collect the evidence and use the appeal route. Trying to get around it could make the situation worse.
The terms get mashed together online all the time. Ask what exactly is being reset: your product license, or the identity a game sees. Different questions.
And don't share personal hardware IDs or account details in a public post while you're asking about it.
