For newer Evrima players: what are your best habits for noticing danger before it's already chewing on you? I'm trying to get better at reading the map and not treating every trip to water like a speedrun.

Stuff like using cover, stopping to listen, not taking the exact same path every time, and being careful around obvious choke points sounds basic, but it probably matters more than people admit. What do you actually pay attention to when you're moving across the map?

Stop sprinting everywhere. It sounds obvious but half the time the problem is making a ton of noise because you're impatient.

Water edges are not a free refill station. Approach with cover where you can and don't stand there staring at the sky for ten seconds.

Use the terrain. A ridge can hide your approach, but it can also block your view, so don't blindly crest it at full speed.

My expert strategy is to hear one twig snap and panic-run into another dinosaur. Works terribly, 0/10.

lol. But seriously, listen for calls and footsteps, and take a second to think about where you can retreat if something appears.
